![]() Whether it is someone flipping you off in traffic, a kid sticking out his tongue when he doesn't get his way, a coworker demanding their own way or someone that manipulates others to get what they want...it doesn't matter...all of these examples are just down right rude. When you are so focused only on what you want, more than likely that old ugly rude person is going to emerge. I have to admit that when someone pulls in front of me in traffic...it usually ticks me off, and while I'm going on and on about how rude they were...a lot of times I end up being rude back by throwing my hands in the air and looking all crazy at them. I'm not proud of that...it is something I'm working on. When I'm so focused on getting home and getting out of the awful Nashville traffic, Ms Rude will try to surface. I'll be tempted to do something silly, but what if instead of showing my rude side, I let someone merge in front of me instead. I think that is a great plan...what do you think? I've learned that rude is actually the opposite of kind. And in this love chapter we are studying we've learned...Love is Kind and Love is not Rude. So if I want to be a kind person, I have to stay away from anything that can be construed as rude to other people. The thing is...the very people that you are being rude to, are the same ones that you are trying to reach with God's love. How can you really do that, if they can't see past your rudeness? So let's all live it out...Love Is Not Rude.
